Vegan burger (gluten-free)🍔

Today I bring you a recipe for hamburgers, in other publications we have detailed the damage of junk food and how vegan food has opened new horizons with respect to food of all kinds, especially that which has to do with meat consumption, for this the vegans have used different substitutions of animal protein changing to vegetable protein, the soy revolution brought with it not only good meals but adaptation to meat and cheese.

This recipe is gluten-free, so if you’re celiac you don’t have to worry, to prepare the meat we’ll use fine textured soy, which is very cheap and you can get it at your most visited food store.

Vegan burger (gluten-free)

My secrets INGREDIENTS

(for 3 portions):

♡ 120 g Fine textured soy

♡ 100 – 150 g Chickpea flour

♡ ¼ Onion

♡ ¼ Red pepper

♡ 1 clove of garlic

♡ 1 tablespoon soy sauce

♡ ½ tablespoon Ground cumin

♡ ¼ teaspoon ground cayenne

♡ Salt

♡ Oil for frying

♡ Gluten-free bread

♡ Fresh tomato

♡ Vegan sauce or mayonnaise

PREPARATION

Preparation time: 15min

Cooking time: 25min

Total: 40min

The first step will be to hydrate the textured soybeans, for it we will choose our best bowl and we will place 2 glass of not very hot water with a little soy sauce, and during 15 minutes we will leave hydrating the textured soybeans, in order that it is hydrated very well.

While the hydration of the soybean happens, we will begin to wash and cut very finely our onion and pepper.

It is important that after this hydrated textured soybean, we drain very well soybeans, we can help with our hands squeezing or placing weight on top of the dough so that through the strainer is the least amount of water present.

When we have drained well, place the onion in the same bowl and take advantage of incorporating the other ingredients such as pepper, cayenne, garlic, ground cumin, and finally the hydrated soybeans, begin to knead and will add some chickpea flour to compact the dough, the idea is that we have a manageable consistency of dough.

It is time to start forming the balls of dough, then crush and shape them into the characteristic hamburger meat, then choose a pan to heat something with a small jet of oil, and begin the process of cooking our soybeans until it is well browned on both sides, to remove a little excess fat we can use kitchen paper to absorb.

We are now in the final stage of our preparation, we just need to start assembling the hamburgers, put the bread and a little vegan mayonnaise, a hamburger, a thin slice of tomato, then a little more mayonnaise and then close with another bread.

In this way, we will continue until we finish the last hamburger and serve, and although many criticize this type of hamburger, who has not tried this wonderful recipe I invite you to eat a vegan hamburger, you will not regret it. In addition, it has lots of vegetable protein and delicious flavors depending on the style because there is an incredible variety of recipes, practices and super economic.
